trouble with front caliper and hose
Trying to replace front calipers and hoses on my 71 blazer. PO obviously had tried the brake line nuts are rounded. The question is what size is the skinny nut that holds the brake hose to the frame. I want to make sure I have the correct wrench size. Hoping if I can get it loose I will have the room to get vise grips on the brake lines.
Thanks |

Re: trouble with front caliper and hose
I used to do a lot of those on 30 series trucks. It took a 15/16 wrench.

Re: trouble with front caliper and hose
I got a cheap wrench from the parts store and cut most of the center section out just for those. I think the total length of the 2 wrench pieces is about 3-4'' each. The box end of it I cut a slot in it so it will pass over the steel line.
