Arm rest trick

My '73 C10 armrests were wore down and weren't level and were mashed. I didn't want to pay $60.00 for a new set. I was sitting and looking at them last night and the plastic/rubber covering was still in good shape. So I got to thinking and decided to try something. I got some of that foam sealant in a can that swells up and squirted a bunch of that in there. That really did the trick. You need to keep an eye on it for a while and keep it formed correctly. Today when it was dry I just gave it a shot of spray paint. IF YOU HAVE NEVER USED THIS STUFF BEFORE BE SURE AND WEAR SOME GLOVES BECAUSE IF YOU GET IT ON YOU OR THE OUTSIDE OF THE ARMREST IT WILL NOT COME OFF.
