1970 CST/20 Longhorn Tailgate question...

I never saw my original tailgate... I have a really nice factory one to use as a replacement. My question is, the tailgate I have has the CHEVROLET stamped into the tailgate. Do all CST's come with the black/woodgrain trim band with the CHEVROLET word in chrome or did some come with embossed tailgate? Also, if trim band, does it go directly over the embossed tailgate or were they not stamped with CHEVROLET embossing?

All the original tailgates had embossed letters. The CST trim band covers the letters and is screwed on. All CST bands came with woodgrain. Those with black are aftermarket (for those wanting a CST style tailgate band) to match the lower trim level trucks that already have black trim lower moldings.
