Another road trip in the books. (pics)

Made a trip to the Decatur TX swap meet for a winter get-away. About 2800 miles in 6 days. Hauled a 67 shorty down from MN and picked up this 71 at the show. Not rust free, but has potential. Weather was good, met up with board member rockc and a few other board members stopped in. All in all it was a successful trip.

Nice haul Eric! A friend of mine went down from Iowa. I have been to Pate but never been to Decatur. I will have to make it down there one of these years....

All the guys in the know think that Decatur is better than Pate. They say that Decatur is what Pate used to be......

Keep my number handy and feel free to call me if you ever have problems....

Thanks. Whenever I see a Texas Truck with those old steel bumpers I can't help but wonder if somebody has one that reads "Allen Cook Chevrolet - Winnsboro, Texas" like the one I have.

Re: Another road trip in the books. (pics)

Update: Put some interior pieces on the truck, got it running-driving-stopping on its own. Still needs a lot of tinkering, but making some progress.
Just happen to have a 71 parts truck that had a fair seat and seat belts that this was missing.

Yeah, not a rust free cream puff, but a good starter for someone.
