1972 Jimmy production numbers
I am curious to know how many 1972 Jimmys were built. Does anyone know?
Thanks, Ray

I'm also interested. I can't help but think my '72jimmy 2wd four speed was real common.

Re: 1972 Jimmy production numbers
Having owned a few Jimmys and always wondering the same thing, I've learned they never kept an exact production number. But have been told by many who believe they made about 1:3 ratio of Jimmys to Blazers. I don't know how accurate that is, so maybe someone with a little more info will step in.

Re: 1972 Jimmy production numbers
I wonder if the end of our VIN's could tell us how many were built, or they could've combined those numbers for GMC and Chevy.
I suppose if they were combined, we could use the highest production number form the VIN and subtract out the alleged Chevy production numbers.

You'd have to know the highest VIN produced for each final assembly location. K

Re: 1972 Jimmy production numbers
I was just curious. There was one listed on eBay a while back. The add stated a low production number, I don't recall what it was now. I haven't seen very many regardless.
