Speedometer rebuild on 60 cluster

I saw the rebuild on the cluster and that was a excellent article. My needle is on the opposite side answer was wondering if anyone rebuilt one.

Re: Speedometer rebuild on 60 cluster

I had the same problem. Mine was stuck at 10 I think. I tore mine apart and found that the odometer gears were broken and part of a gear was inhibiting the speedo drive from working. I pulled the rest of the broken gears out for the odometer and replaced the broken speedo cable and now it works. Jumps around a little bit but now I don't have to use my phone gps.
