Thank you for posting the pics. Can I ask what the round object is between the bumper and tailgate on the driver side? I agree with 60-66, great looking truck.

Yep still has the V6. Drove it home about 150 miles on the interstate at 75mph ran like a dream.

That's cool! You planning on keeping the big block? Dual exhaust and a 2 or 4 barrel conversion helps these engines Alot.

Sounds like a plan. I will say rebuilding may be a bit of a chore as parts are getting scarce, but if the engine is in good shape to start with a light rebuild will be easy. Here's a sight I would subscribe with as well. Lotta knowledge on the v6 here, and some really neat write ups. One guy even made headers for his.
