Turn Signal problem
ok this might be hard to follow but i will do my best.
1969 C10 396 ok turn signal lights and indicators work normal with headlights off, if i turn on my headlights my RH indicator light in the cluster comes on and stays on, therefore my right turn signal does not work i push up on rod and it does nothing, no flshing of indicator or light or even the fuse flasher, the left side continues to work as normal, turn the lights off and its all normal again. i put in new headlight switch same thing happened, new bulbs, cleaned the connections, took the flappy wire thing off the cluster and cleaned it...im very baffled of what is happening. if there is anyone that may be able to help it would be a great day!

Re: Turn Signal problem
Agree. Your right front parking/turn light is not grounded.

Re: Turn Signal problem
having it not grounded would make it not work while headlights are on, but when they are off it would still work normal??

Re: Turn Signal problem
Correct. In short, it's because is back-feeding through the other filament to find a return path. Fix the ground and it will work.

Re: Turn Signal problem
ok thank you, i will check...will i be looking more at the signal light/ itself or in the cab behind the dash?
i dont think it would matter but i didnt mention at begining that its just the indicator in the dash cluster, the actual signal light itself does not come on nor work in any way when the headlights are on. ifRH blinker is on and i turn on my headlights, the signal light itself turns off and the dash indicator stays on constant

Re: Turn Signal problem
the 2 screws at the light bezel, i took off bezel, cleaned up body and bezel and and put new screws in. they had gotten corroded. rememeber that these old trucks are big on ground..if something doesnt work...always check the ground...give it a quick hit with a wire brush and replace.
