Re: WTB OEM lens for tilt column
Thanks for posting. I don't have a spare OD lens (it's in use). Is that an OEM lens? I'll double check that in my C30 but I believe the OEM tilt lenses are slightly etched with paint deposited in the etched trough.

Re: WTB OEM lens for tilt column
I cant honestly say its real, I bought a 1970 tilt column from a member that claimed it to be a original. Its is etched on the back side with white paint deposited like you describe. I don't really have the skills to get a picture that show's it. But this is the best I could do for you.

Yes the letters are moulded deeper into the plastic and the letters are smaller. Like these. The kind you have 4xshort are original too but I was told that the vans had those kind. Later years in vans they just put 2 1 in the L2 L1 spots.

Re: WTB OEM lens for tilt column
Thanks guys!
4xshort - I appreciate your offer but I'm going to troll for the pickup version that Rod shows. I was unaware of the difference in lettering - it's somewhat like the difference between pickup and vans as regards the numbers on the FM radios.

Re: WTB OEM lens for tilt column
I have one that is cracked that Iam replacing with a repop against my better judgement. You are welcome to have it if you want to practice on one you can't ruin. I would also like to be in line to buy a restored one from you if you figure this out.
