1972 K20 front axle

Did all 72 K 20's front axles have closed knuckles?

Nope, Closed knuckle axles ended in 1969 for GM, both K10 and K20

Post a couple of pictures that actually show the axle. While it is probably a 67-69 Dana 44 or 44HD it could be something else.

thanks for response. I was told 1972 was the last year for the closed knuckle.

No sir. 1969 was and actually late 69's started getting open knuckle D44's. 1971 was first year for disc as well. 70 still had drums.

All disc brake trucks were open knuckle. All trucks '71 and newer have disc brakes. The steering changed when the trucks went to open knuckle in '70.
