Dash Bezel Question
My 1971 K20 has a factory manual throttle. I have not seen a new dash bezel that has the provision for the manual throttle. Am I correct in assuming that if I buy a replacement bezel, I can just drill the hole for the manual throttle? Has anyone done this that can offer some hints or advice?
Thanks everyone.

Re: Dash Bezel Question
You might look at the ones that had a "Choke" provision, at least the hole would look factory and you could always file/sand the choke letters off and paint that area to match.

Re: Dash Bezel Question
Good idea except that the choke is on the left and my manual throttle is on the right below the wiper switch so that won't work....but thanks

Re: Dash Bezel Question
Well, you could always have a billet aluminum one made and have them machine the hole where you need it.

Re: Dash Bezel Question
That is one option...
I would still prefer the stock looking bezel....

Re: Dash Bezel Question
No problem. I think I would still fasten it in place with a couple of screws and mark around the hole from the back side with a felt tip pen..... LockDoc

Re: Dash Bezel Question
Your stock bezel should have the "Throttle" label as part of a raised area around that knob--at least, that's the one the one I had was. that raised area is a separate piece. After removing it from the old, broken dash, I simply put it over the hole I drilled in the replacement, and it looks perfectly stock.
I have all four knobs on mine: Wiper - Choke Lights - Throttle. I also put the air Pressure gauge in the 3rd gauge hole and have plans to install an air compressor and tank *someday* . . . .
