Cabs
Ok I have a donor cab that's better than the cab I have. The can is a 78. The donor cab is an 80. It is only sheet metal. No interior parts. Am I able to use the 80 cab on a 78 frame, and use the 78 interior parts (seat, seat belts, dash pad). Please let me know. Thanks.

Re: Cabs
Yes, the 80 cab should make a suitable replacement for your 78 cab.
The only issue I can think of would be that the 78 dash pad will cover up the VIN tag on the 80 cab. And speaking of the VIN, that's something you'll want to check to see what the procedure is in your state regarding cab/frame swaps. Also, there could be high vs. low trans hump differences between the two cabs. As well as firewall differences if one cab is heat-only and the other had factory AC. |

Re: Cabs
Ok I'll have to look at the cab. It maybe newer. Can I still use the 78 dash pad in a newer 81-87 cab?
