Straightening 1/2 inch aluminum fuel line
I am trying to use a peace of aluminum fuel line to run the wires for my tail lights through on my step side. I bought a length of 1/2 inch aluminum but it is in a coil. What is the best way to straiten it?

Open it up at the end standing the coil on end and pulling/rolling the coil away. After you get the length you want roll it between two pieces of plywood is what I heard someplace.

I have also heard of people using a block of wood several inches long, with a hole just slightly bigger than the outside diameter of the tube bored through it. Pull the tube through the hole in the wood to straighten it.

Unroll tube and lay on floor. Put your feet together on top of the tube and roll over top of the tube. Back and forth and up and down the length. I have straightened many pieces of 1/2" soft copper this way over the years... (wish I had a video)..

the 4x4 block of wood with the hole is the exact way i do it. it work really well, I use it for Cunifer and Stainless. im sure aluminum will be easy. Just drill a hole a little bigger than the tube and pull it through. 4x4 block of wood works great.
