Lets see those AFTERMARKET SHORTBEDS!

Post up pics of your trucks with aftermarket shortbeds or short bed conversions

I just bought my new bedsides and front wood bed header yesterday and found a factory short wheel base frame a few months back. Just need the collect a few more items and then i will swap the cab, front clip, and drivetrain over to the short chassis after i get it blasted and painted chassis black. I have a complete lowering kit for it as well.

Re: Lets see those AFTERMARKET SHORTBEDS!

You should have people add the company and their thoughts on fit and finish for those of us that are looking to buy.

Re: Lets see those AFTERMARKET SHORTBEDS!

Here is a picture of my aftermarket short bed from Southern Kentucky Classics, all went together and fit really nice. The truck itself is a factory short wheel base.

Pictures of repro beds will look just like pictures of OEM beds.

Re: Lets see those AFTERMARKET SHORTBEDS!

I got the point. You must have missed mine. My point is, unlike the doors and most other body parts, these reproduction bed parts are made right and fit well. You can't tell the difference in a picture, unless someone tells you, so what's the point of pictures? They look great, and I assumed that's why the original poster wanted to see pictures.

I got yours also, the heading is "Let's see those AFTERMARKET SHORTBEDS!" So I posted a picture of mine Tim, I follow and read quite a lot of your posts on here, I admire you and have the utmost respect for you and I've never even met you. I guess the OP wanted to see pictures and what you said I may have took the wrong way.

Re: Lets see those AFTERMARKET SHORTBEDS!

No problems with anyone. I was just trying to compliment the quality on these using a short and sweet comment that would give that same confidence as seeing pictures. You can't tell the difference. That's what you needed to "hear", right? "Seeing" is believing, I get that. I have used these and know first hand, but didn't have pictures to share.

Re: Lets see those AFTERMARKET SHORTBEDS!

Here's a picture of a 68' I recently did. You could surf the long bed floor that came on the orange truck and the left short bedside was so rusty it was like Swiss Cheese. I used the orange long bed's front wall and wheel houses, the short bed floor and right bed side and installed a brand new Goodmark left short bed side. The only figment issue I had was the holes for the screws that retain the tail light housing had to be re drilled. There are more pictures of it in the "Trucks for Sale" area here.
