Choke linkage question

I need some input on how to connect the choke linkage for a 350 with a quadrajet. I currently have a edelbrock performer intake and a edelbrock 600cfm carb with electric choke. Been having problems with this carb and decided to go back to the original carb.

Original carb was in a box when i bought the truck so i dont know how it was connected to the intake manifold. Shop is rebuilding the carb for me now.

Do I need the choke kit for my 1970 c/10. Im assuming i have to use the spiral metal thingy that attaches to the intake. Any input or pictures would help, thanks.

Re: Choke linkage question

Sounds like you have a divorced choke.
A pic will confirm it.
Choke stove parts are available here.

And here's some images of divorced chokes.
