Looking through tire size options for my 86 and stumbled across this thread again. The 285/70s on mine now are actually on wider than 8" wheels but not sure if 9s or 10s. I'm about to pull the trigger on a set of 235/70s and 275/60s on 7 and 8 inch factory rally's. After seeing this pic of my 87 I had I think it's the right choice for me
