Cargo floor question!
I'm in the process of installing a new rear floor in my 72 blazer. I have old floor out and ready to install new floor. My question is there are 2 holes on each side of the front of floor. I believe they are for bolting the rocker box reinforcement plate. Do I need to weld some nuts on the floor before I install? The old floor did not have any bolts in those holes but PO had done some work already!!!!!!!!! Any advise would be great! It's a gmcpauls floor if that makes a difference! Thx again. Mike

Re: Cargo floor question!
On my 70 blazer the nut are in the next piece up. The panel that covers where the door latches bolts.

Re: Cargo floor question!
Wow! That looks really good now that it is all new metal.
Any words of wisdom for those considering a similar replacement in the future? I see you floated the rear quarters with some braces at the rear to make way for the floor. Nice work. How does it connect to the front floor step up area and the quarter panels? Seam sealer and bolts? Can't recall if that area was spot welded or not from the factory. |

Re: Cargo floor question!
Looks like you got it done. Looks great. Anyone looking for a new floor should highly consider GMCPauls. It appears to have gone very well for you and it certainly did for me as well.

Re: Cargo floor question!
Nice work! Did the repro floor come with nutserts for the OEM factory spare tire carrier? Thanks, Pete
