4x4 exhaust manifold with heat riser

Pics of the right side straight down manifold with heat riser. A few people were wanting to see what this looks like. These straight down manifolds will fit on either side of the engine if you don't want the heat riser block.

Dean where did you get the heat shields for the plug wires? I had an 85 K5 that had the heat riser valve on the passenger side but the manifold was not a straight down dump it angled back. The driver side was a straight down dump though.

Those heat shields are a stock item on any unmolested small block installed in a pickup. I was lucky enough to pick up a complete original 307 with all manifolds, accessories, brackets and looms for $75. It had all these parts still intact. I used them on a 350. I'm not sure if you can buy them new thru GM or not.

You can see sort of see them in this pic. You can also see the stock loom on the back of the block. BTW, those are 75 vettet plug wires. They are a perfect fit for HEI and rams horns manifolds.

Those shields were original on the truck. That truck had less than 30K miles on it so they were still in good shape. I'm not sure if GM still has them or not, but I know I have put them on Corvettes before. You might check the Corvette catalogs...Corvette Central, Paragon, MidAmerica, etc etc
