Converting a 2012 caprice ppv rear end
Has anyone put a caprice ppv rear end in a 47-54 truck? I am looking for some kind of kit to fit it into my 48 Panel.

Get out the torch and cut off all the brackets and then take the grinder and clean up all the scabs. For stock springs you need 1-3/4 wide spring pads and proper U bolts.
Here, for stock springs this has everything except the shocks http://www.classicparts.com/1947-54-.../#.VyBa0kfSuX4 Not cheap but it beats trying to make stuff fit.

Might fit. It's not as wide as older full size models. Worked well in a '40 Olds. Can be converted to drum brakes if you get tired of the park brake system.
