72 Sierra Grande Help

Hi guys Ive just took my truck apart to restore i took my windshield out i have some really bad rust on the outside header panel on the drivers side about a foot long i have the inner roof panel does any one had this same problem i looked at the Blazer roof panel a couple of parts houses offer would that work any suggestion on how to fix this?????

Blazers have fiberglass tops. Are you saying someone is selling K/5 (don't forget about Jimmys) windshield frames now? If so, you might be able to mine what you need from one, but the outer doesn't contour into a to like what you need. I guess you'd have the whole pinch weld area you need to lay your skin back nto. Most guys use a good used section to piece in.
