No. Sometimes caps like that are tighter than a bear, and need to be slitted to get them off. Easier when it is still out.

Re: Urine Smell in the vents

Gotcha - I'm glad you mentioned it though because I wouldn't have checked to confirm otherwise.

Cheers

While I was in there I put in some screens as an "upgrade"

Before I put it back in I'm restoring the passenger kick panel vent.

Fresh air soon, this has been a fun one so far - Thanks guys for the help
Nice work on the intake screens and cleanup. Looks like new...

Re: Urine Smell in the vents

I had something similar happen to my '75. "Luckily" my heater core started to leak about the same time, so I was forced to disassemble and clean all of that stuff. I think you're just going to have to bite the bullet and do that too.

I've heard that stuffing dryer sheets in the vents will keep mice from moving in. It couldn't hurt to try it.

Re: Urine Smell in the vents

Yeah I replaced the heater core while I was in there... Now that I've done the job I can say it's not to difficult at all...Although I did manage to install the defrost arm backwards but I was able to fix it while keeping it installed...The heat works and there is no more pissy smell...success!
