New here with a 61 Apache
Hi all, I just joined here but I've had my truck for about 2 years now. It's a 61 short stepside K-20.Here she is the day I bought her.As of now I have all the rust fixed on the drivers side and I'm starting on the passengers side.
Plans are to keep it as stock as possible as far as the body goes. For now it's going to have a 350 and a 4 speed but I want to put in a 348 and a 5 speed at some point. |

Re: New here with a 61 Apache
Welcome to the oddball 61 club. You shouldn't have as much of an issue with parts being 4x4. But grill and trim can be tricky to find, hopefully you have the headlight buckets and trim if you want to retain the 4 headlight grill

Re: New here with a 61 Apache
Thanks.I found the headlight buckets in a junkyard about a week after I bought the truck.I also got a perfect still in the box Chevrolet grill insert and V8 hood ornament for it.I won't be putting any of the other trim parts on.

Welcome to the forum
Are those 8 lug differentials old school with drums in the front or does the front have discs?
