Bed mat for a 71 Chevy w/8 ft box?
Hey guys, is there a bed mat that fits our trucks with the 8' fleet side box?
A few searches on the net show only 73-up. Thanks for any leads... Bob

Buy a universal one, and cut it to fit. That is your best bet.

Thanks. Guess that will work but so far, I'm only finding 4 X 8 mats. Would need 6 X 8.
I'll keep searching... Bob

Use the one from a 73 and up longbed, they fit great but do have a small cutout for the gas tanks on each side of the wheels.

ProTecta 6721 is a heavy duty mat that is universal and well built. Here is a site as an example of what they are:
http://www.truckstuffusa.com/molheavbedma.html You could probably do a search for best price, this site doesn't seem bad with included shipping and no tax. They are made by the Koneta company: http://www.konetainc.com/lightduty_h...ghtbedmat.html |

Re: Bed mat for a 71 Chevy w/8 ft box?
I think I'll try the 73-up for size. I can live with the small cut outs.
P.S. the tarp idea wouldn't work with all the holes in my floor!

bobs409, did you follow through with the 73-up size in a 71? How did it work out? Could you post a picture with the mat in the truck. Thanks!

I got this one 2 days ago. They are on back order now because of a rubber shortage.

Re: Bed mat for a 71 Chevy w/8 ft box?
I used scrap pieces to cover up the triangle holes.
