I am seriously thinking about swapping out my 5.0 in my 89' 2500 vandura. I am told that the vortec engine has a habit of cracking heads so I really do not want to replace it with same. I was thinking of a 454 which supposedly was an option for that model and year. Any advice and suggestions will be appreciated!
