Solid axle questions

Would I be better off buying a solid dana axle and buying the offroadunlimited kit and lifting it 6 in. Or would it be better so just lift the IFS 6 inches? I plan to do some good mud bogging. What spring do I use if I do the swap? And what do I do for steering? I would like to just do the swap but I dont know how hard it is to do.
