Re: Project U S Army Sargent Slam
Killbillet had to modify the drivers side. He took about 3/4 inch out of each tube to get the header closer to the block. Thats why I oredered them unfinished.I get the headers next week. So I'm giving it a shot.

Another angle. Anyone doing an S10 frame swap should check out the killbillet site.

Re: Project U S Army Sargent Slam
I was able to get my S10 headers to work but it was a pain in the ass and a balancing act getting the column at just the right height and angle. It's still really tight. If I had to do it over again I would have gone with some block hungers or modified headers like above. It think that's a better solution.

Re: Project U S Army Sargent Slam
it looks like a couple things are making your steering harder than most
1. looks like your body is mounted to the frame slightly lower than most 2. looks like your engine is mounted slightly higher than most. 3. it looks like you have taken a really steep angle with the column all of these things combined are probably the root of your difficulties. I wouldnt suggest you go to that steep of an angle with the factory joint on the steering shaft either, get a borgeson u joint and replace it, in fact get two and replace the rag joint at the box too if you are still using it. truck is looking awesomo, having the blower fit under the hood is great!

Re: Project U S Army Sargent Slam
Joedoh. I think my biggest problem to making my steering harder then most. Is running a blower with power steering and adding to have the running boards lay an inch off the ground. There's so much more to fitting a blown motor compared to a regular small block then I even imagined. It all started by having to set my motor mounts 4 inches back further then the normal s10 conversion motor mounts.Thats changed everything. I think all this will be worth it in the end.

Re: Project U S Army Sargent Slam
Cut down the brake pedal bracket. Next is the transmission tunnel. Tomorrow I get the headers and Thursday I get the driveline back.
