Chevelle headers for big block

Hey, I'm new to the forum and read awhile back that guys were using big block Chevelle headers on there lowered trucks, and I installed a new TCI mustang two front end and wondering if these will work with the power steering?

Re: Chevelle headers for big block

vidman, those fit just like my bbc camaro/nova headers up in the frame.
i see you made a c member mine required the same and it looks almost like yours.

only i have a manual 4spd and z bar mods were required.

op,just goes to show that most will work its just a matter of how much you wanna work with them.

besides the ps lines too the pump i really dont see headers interfearing with a muskrat rack in these trucks. but then again i never did a rack&pinion in one

search "chevelle headers" on this site, many threads and many detailed pics. I'm using chevelle headers on my BB too.

Re: Chevelle headers for big block

Some pics for hdff. If you use the Chevelle headers you will have to use an aftermarket or custom trans crossmember or have a custom exhaust made to fit because the collectors exit just in front of the crossmember

is there enough room to use them with a custom exhaust with a stock trans crossmember? I am not replacing the crossmember. this is how I am piped now. looks like your headers end past the cab frame mount point

Re: Chevelle headers for big block

The chevelle headers will end up 6" or so higher than those so all you will have to do is get some 45 degree bends and make em fit. I ran all my exhaust above the bottom of the frame and through the rear crossmember so you can,t see anything when you look under the truck. If you can,t make your own exhaust you will have to have a shop do it. you will also have very little room for the stock location oil filter. Im using a remote so it was no big deal..

Re: Chevelle headers for big block

Why chevelle mid length and not truck mid length?
