NW Oregon Guys... need some assistance

Project BABA YAGA! got a 700r4 installed last Friday. When it came time to dial in the shift points, the truck would choke out badly. Crap in the gas tank was in the filter and now the carburetor.

While diagnosing the problem(s) I noticed the harness smoking with the key in the on position. Turned it to off and it stopped.

I have a new AAW complete harness on order. I am wondering if anyone close enough to Sherwood, Oregon would be willing to assist in the R&R of the harness? I am willing to pay for the help.

I am not looking for someone to do all the work for me. I want to learn how to do the wiring; something I know nothing about, by doing it with them and learning, hands on, along the way.

Once the carburetor is cleaned out AGAIN (a new fuel tank is next) and I can drive it the three miles home without burning it to the ground, I will be ready to start tearing into it. Anyone who is knowledgeable and willing to assist and make some money for their own project... contact me!

Thanks!

Re: NW Oregon Guys... need some assistance

Had a local CL Restoration Shop respond to my request for installing a made-to-order AAW Harness... wanted more than what it cost to R&R my TH350 with a custom built 500HP capable 700r4!

Another shop quoted 75% less but wants the truck for at least 2-4 weeks. You betcha chief...

Thanks for the wishes. I have typically had support from long distance, not from locals. But it was worth a shot.

It looks like I will either have the race shop do it or have it brought back home and start doing it in the driveway until the HOA says otherwise.
