Hounds tooth cloth...dash...door pannels etc...

Orange and white paint colors, what color interior? ??

Since a factory 71-72 Cheyenne didn't have a houndstooth seat cover what exactly are you wanting to do?

Black, Blue, Olive, Parchment or Saddle

A factory correct Cheyenne Super trim with houndstooth cloth?
Blue, Olive or Parchment

Some custom combination of colors?

What color orange, the 516 orange or the 524 red orange aka "hugger orange"?

I just tore my short wide box four wheel drive down for a full restoration. I don't have a picture but it's a 1972 hugger orange with a saddle steering column, steering wheel, dash pad and outer a/c vents. The door panels, seat, and visors are parchment.

Missing the black carpet but this is an original 72 Cheyenne Super in code 458 Deluxe Two-Tone (524/521) with code 626 Parchment trim.

That sounds like a Cheyenne trim. The column, carpet, dash and minor trim parts were actually a color called Sandelwood and notably lighter than Saddle.

Yes, Parchment headliner and door panels, Black column, carpet dash pad and belts. The A/C balls can be either body color or Black.

Yes, but probably nothing helpful to you.
If I run across any more in my collection I will be sure to post them.

Unfortunately all too often an interior is personalized to a point that I don't want to save the pictures for reference.

Visors will match the seat vinyl.

Shoulder belts were optional.

If I went with black door panels and black buckets what exterior color would be appropriate??

I've seen red but the orange is nice also

My vote is to stay Orange and White, that is one of the best combo's out there IMO. If you choose to go with a Black interior, it will go with any color you choose.
