Carpet opinion
this is my first full on restoration - I've modified vehicles before, but never down to replacing carpet.
I've had the seats, headliner, and visors down - so the picture is what the interior color will be. I got some sample carpet squares laying against them for comparison. Just looking for opinions on what carpet to go with. [IMG][/IMG] |

Re: Carpet opinion
Third from the top matches fine and be easier to keep clean.
Good luck.

Re: Carpet opinion
Suggest adding a poll to make this easy and numbering your samples to match.
While I like the third and fourth samples, I need to ask: Is the seat the same color? Does it have a lighter or darker insert? What color is the sheetmetal painted?

Re: Carpet opinion
Based on the fact the seats are a single color and match the headliner and visors, I'd be inclined to make the carpet darker to bring up detail.
One color can work against you as anyone with a medium blue with blue trim truck can tell you. Since the body color contrasts well with the vinyl a matching carpet would work. However, IMHO, I still feel it will look best with the fourth/bottom choice or the third/one up. Especially if you are considering kick panel and or lower door carpet too.

Re: Carpet opinion
Try looking at it as a stack.
Painted metal as back ground, then carpet, then the vinyl as the top. It looks wrong to you because the vinyl color is surrounding the carpet.
