GMP/ACME C10 Diecast

Apparently these two are being released this summer. They are based on the old Highway61 C10 tooling. There are 1:18th and will be on the high side of pricing.

Re: GMP/ACME C10 Diecast

Thanks! I'll have to look for those. I like the 750 pieces part. If I only get one I like the green one. Not a fan of a pickup painted up as a race car when such a truck never ran such a race. But I guess it could be a support vehicle for the team or a shop truck. It's not like it has a number painted on it.

Nice! I will definitely be looking for these. But I'm sure the prices will be out of sight once they are all purchased.

At $115 a piece, I'll just be admiring them on the internet.

Re: GMP/ACME C10 Diecast

Now that I see the real thing, the front looks awful funny. The bumper face is vertical, The grille and headlight trim look too square and proportions are off. The front of the hood starts like a 67/68 but swoops up to end up steep like 69-72. The grille surround is really wide and it looks like the drip rail was shaved. In these bigger scale replicas they have to get it right. Doesn't bother me on a 1/64 as much when things are off. It doesn't bother me as much when it's a whole lot less money, too. The Hiway 61 stuff was never this much. That's Danbury Mint prices for Hot Wheels quality. These will get bought up and sold on Ebay for even more

If you going from the posted pics on here I see your point. However if that is the way they are going to look when finished I agree they will die with them. I have several HiWay 61 67-72's and they do not look like the pictures.

Re: GMP/ACME C10 Diecast

I was going by the pictures of the actual product shown in the link Hook'em provided. I hate to be such a grump on these, but I will spend crazy money for the right stuff. If a company wants my $100+ for their Chinese made replica I want it to look like the real thing is scale. These are obviously not toys, they are made for adults to collect. All they need are 750 people who don't notice details, so they'll get their money from them, not me. I say all this because I wanted one. I would have paid the price and was ready to pre-order. I do appreciate you sharing this. Just disappointed in the level of quality
