What happened to PUI?

I know they were bought by a bigger company. Looks like their key sales reps are gone. No answer at the old phone #s. No one seems to answer their phones. Messages aren't answered. Faxes aren't accepted.
Anyone got any news?

Re: What happened to PUI?

That worries me, I'm waiting on seat covers from them I purchased through Summmit. Estimated ship date was the 2nd. Haven't heard anything. I was planning on calling tomorrow.

Re: What happened to PUI?

I called PUI this morning, same issue as you, just got sent to voicemail. No real person to talk to. I called Summit, the gal that was helping me put me on hold and got a hold of them and they told her my upholstery kit would be ready to ship by the end of the week. She didn't have any answers for me as to why they aren't answering their phone though. If no one else has any info I'll update this next week.

Re: What happened to PUI?

Someone should call summit and ask them for the number summit calls, I'm guessing it's different from the one we have. Not answering your phone is not good business, and I'd be concerned.

Re: What happened to PUI?

Yes PUI is now part of a larger group of supliers..... They were always kind of a PITA to get hold of though.

Re: What happened to PUI?

So coincidently I got an email from Summit this morning saying my upholstery shipped and will be here Fri, after they said yesterday it'd be end of the week. The mystery continues...

Re: What happened to PUI?

I talked to a rep at Trim Parts and he had a PUI rep finally call me. "They are really busy", hmmmmm......and they have a new FAX # (and it did work). Why no one answers or calls back was not cleared up, but most of the old sales reps are gone.
