4wd quit working.
I have a 1990 chevy light duty 3/4 ton.It's a 2500 but''s it 6 lug has a 14 bolt rear.(Not sure what else is different than a 1/2 ton)
Anyway yesterday I was driving through my yard so I could get my car trailer.I had it in 4 high so it wouldn't tear the grass up.I got out to hook the trailer up and when I got back in the 4wd light wasn't on and it wasn't in 4wd anymore.Same thing today. There is a wire under the front diff that sometimes comes dissconnected and it quits working but I checked it and it's still connected.I really don't know what else to check. Anyone have any idea's.

Sounds like the Actuator?
I don't know much about those damn fangled electronic part's, but I would check the Actuator, that is what went on my Dad's 97 K1500 back in the day.

Yeah I guess that's what it is.They have a kit in summit that makes it where you lock the front diff manually. So it's not electronic anymore.I guess I am gonna go that route.
