help with aligning hood
After installing the hood hinges and bolting on the hood, it won't close. We adjusted it a few times but just doesn't seem like it wants to align properly. Do you guys have any tips I should try?

Assuming the clip and cab are bolted to the frame and tightened down, I would loosen everything up so that you can adjust alignment of more than just the hood. It sounds to me that your clip may not be quite "square" on the frame. I don't have any magic bullets for you as panel alignment is somewhat of an "art".

yeah, I figured it's because the front clip isn't bolted down, it's just sitting on the frame right now. I will wait to align it until It's all fastened down and shimmed properly.

You really have to attack it as a whole. An adjustment in one area affects another. It can be frustrating, which is why you see so few trucks with 100% perfect lines. It takes an expert. Take comfort in the fact that when new, the panels were nowhere near perfect either.

I found that out when I replaced one of my cab corners and found factory body filler on the B pillar

Hey !
Make sure that the big bolt that goes thru the innner fender to the cab is loose. Make sure you shim it to the cab dont squeese the gap between the inner fender and the cab frame closed. It will mess up your lines like crazy. Good luck.
