2wd 4spd K5 Blazer rarity
Hey guys, New to this site and the square body community and had a quick question. I know the 2wd blazers aren't extremely rare but I was wondering about how rare the factory 4spd option was. Mine is a 78 With the cheyenne package, 350 with the 4spd on the floor with 3:73 rear end. I absolutely love this truck and have already lowered it and cleaned up some of the interior. Will be doing a 5.3 swap this winter. Thanks guys!

Re: 2wd 4spd K5 Blazer rarity
Well, some say there are no rare squares. But I think what they mean is not rare enough to be valuable or collectible. Regarding a 2wd 4-speed K5, I've never seen one in person and I've only seen a couple online. To me that's rare as far as squares go. Welcome to 67-72. I saw your truck in another thread, how is the interior on it?

Re: 2wd 4spd K5 Blazer rarity
Thanks John, I'd consider the interior nice especially since it appears to be all original other than a wood grain grant steering wheel. The girlfriend shampooed the carpets the other night and it looks 10x better. I'll try and snap a new pic of the interior tomorrow but this is how it looked the day I brought it home. The back seat looks very lightly used and it still has the interior bed panels in it, although I will need to New ones made.

Nice, just needs a little TLC. I bought a 76 4x4 K5 back in 91, it was the same color inside and out except my seats were tan vinyl like your dash and side panels. Even back then my maroon paint had faded to the same shade yours is now. What are your plans for it? Drive it and love it, or ?

Yes it definitively needs some TLC but has turned out to be Exactly what I was looking for. Since I've already lowered it, my current plans are to make some new side panels, install a stereo, redo the headliner and clean up the door panels and trim. Then this winter it will be getting a Carb'd 5.3ls I put together the beginning of this year. Goals are to just have fun in it with the family

Re: 2wd 4spd K5 Blazer rarity
Thanks. Its a 5.5/6 drop. I used cpp 2.5 drop spindles with djm 3in springs in the front, and in the rear I used a belltech flip kit and did a pipe notch. Belltech street performance shocks front and rear. Rides great!

What size tires are you running? Any measurements prior to the drop? Sorry for all the questions I'm trying to get a game plan of how and how much to drop mine. It sits approximately 30.5" front and rear.

Re: 2wd 4spd K5 Blazer rarity
It's all good, it's a lot to plan out and get right. The front wheels are 15x8 4in back spacing with 245/60s and the rear is a 15x10 5in back spacing with a 295/50. From the ground to the rear fender is 24in and the front measures about 24.5in.
