57 chevy forward control step van
Hi I just purchased a 3420 Chevy step van with the 235.5 HP Six cylinder engine. It is an all steel body. Can anyone tell me if this could be a Grumman body or if chevy actually made these along with the van box? Any info. on where to locate a parts catalog or any specific info on these vans would be helpful. I can't seem to find much info on it. Thanks Dan

They were made by Grumman Olson on a GM frame and called Step vans, "Dubl-Duti" or D-D in the parts books, Kurbmaster, Value Vans by GMC.

Looks like they are still in business. I suspect many of the parts specific to the van part have not changed over the years.

Grumman only made aluminum bodys. That's probably a Union City body.
