67 big window

Every so often the subject comes up on big window in 67 or small window in 68. While i have never seen a small window 68 (except c-40,c-60) here are a couple pics for a big window 67.

Looks like a nice little truck....SWB, CST, decent shape, and a V8 with overdrive!

Here is a 67 SWB with a Big Back Window.
It was for sale a couple years ago for $7,000 I think.

If it would have been for sale in Fern Prarie, I would have bought it. Even at $7K. LOL!! It was somewhere on the east coast. Can't remember what state.

Yeah, it is pretty clean for MN, but the front clip is spanked! Frame and stuff looks fine but needs some sheet metal if i decide to fix her. As far as the white stuff, that is a rare option, However, i would make you a good deal on it. Price goes up in the summer!!

Tell me what is so rare about a '67 CST with a panoramic cab and white top since I have one? I have seen the identical truck to mine in a short wheelbase fleetside here too. I thought they would make nice bookends but have not been able to convince the guy to sell me his...it is an original unmolested daily driver with a Kayak on a roof rack...now that is a rare option...LOL!

Tell me about the overdrive tranny!

The OD is a weak kneed tranny that is all but worthless. You did get 4.11 gearing when you got the OD, but you couldn't get it eith anything bigger than a 283.
The panoramic rear window is a hard one to find. I don't know if it is rare or just not common.

The "white" we are referring to is the snow, not the roof of the truck. That is why the price would be higher in the summer!

That would be really sweet and unique done up bone stock IMO.

CST (Includes buckets in 67) OD tranny, trim, Wheel covers Rear chrome bumper, Two-tone paint ect.

I wonder what happend to the paint code on the glove box? Don't they all show that?

Add the dealer installed bumber guards and that'd be a stunning truck.

It does show the paint...look at the top center where the wheel base is normally placed.

I noticed the font being off at fiorst, but has anyone (maybe another 67 owner) ever seen this older style sticker?

need parts or truck

Hello, too much stuff,

Hi, I bought a 68 GMC 3/4 ton 4x4 with a messed up rear end, when I get over 35mph it makes a nasty grinding noise. Also its 4.56 in back and 4.55 in front, too low for me. SO I figured If I replace both the front and rear with something not so "granny" I can at least do 65 mph I'd be happy. Do you have any diffs that will work for me? The truck has leaf springs and I have swapped a whole tube before but not just the rearend. I have not done a front swap at all. Any help would be great!

Also Its second gear wont enguage, synchro ring? Should I repair it or replace it?

zoomy, the 67 i am leaving complete for now. What kind of stuff are you looking for?
trucks, I don't have any 3/4 front or rears laying around. I have a 68 4x4 1/2 ton with a 4-speed that needs a clutch fork. if you wanted to convert to 1/2 ton stuff we could work something out i'm sure. The tranny and transfer case are supposed to be good in it. Every thing just bolts in i think. (u-bolts,brakes,drive shafts)

I finally took pictures of my early '67 C-20 w/big window and a 327. My grandpa was original owner and it only has 71K miles. I just got new wheels and tires today. It's a custom camper long bed. It does seem a little slow. Has anyone changed the rear end to get a little more speed? Will this help my fuel mileage (funny question isn't it)?
