After talking to tech support at Air Lift I have found out that the kit I need is 60811. Per the measurements I gave them. Ride height of truck inside spring and inside diameter of springs.

Re: truck intake cover idea

Has anyone tried something along the lines of a mini L88 scoop as a cover?

Re: truck intake cover idea

That cover looks great Rob. Where did you get the 6.0L emblems? Are the GM or eBay specials and how the quality?

EBay specials. They are nice. The chrome one's are thick and heavy metal. The others Are made of thin aluminum also very nice.

Talking Re: truck intake cover idea

Here you go Andy, you can kinda see how I cut BBC covers. I marked the plugs 1st and used a 1" hole saw to drill 4 holes in the side. Then I drew my lines and used a cut off and grinder to trim them down. Cleaned them with a flap wheel and removed the oildrippers on the inside. Wetsanded and polished the fins. Then I taped them and painted them. The emblems look cool but also cover the dead space on the cover as well as the original breather holes. Basically I got some 1" deep nuts from the hardware store and some Allen head bolts that would thread in them. I then just put 2 nuts over 2 of the studs that stick up on the coil fastners. I just tacked them in place. That way I had threads to screw the Allen heads into to fasten them to the coil bracket. The driver side is trimmed on back because I set my engine back and reworked my firewall. If you look close you will also see my booster is relocated and my steering column is moved up 3" this was all do to channeling the body down 3" over the frame. A body drop looks cool but space becomes scarce. Lol
