Question steering box question

My power steering box on my 72 had a leak at the shaft seal. So I grabbed a box off a 69 and installed it. Jacked the front wheels up to bleed lines by steering side to side. Went left fine, went right fine, started left felt tension then instant relief and she turned very easy. Look out front and a hole blew in the cap. I still have the 72 box can I replace the broken cap?

Are you talking about the top cap with the adjusting set screw/nut or the end cap on the bottom front of the unit?

When turning from side to side to bleed the air off remember to turn it slowly and do not lock it up in either direction.
