Thumbs up Celebrating....30 years!

As the title says... I'm celebrating 30 years of ownership of my 71 truck! Actually I celebrated that yesterday!
March 14 1986 I paid $500.00 for it with 85,000 miles on it.

Get out and drive the truck this summer and have some fun!

After talking to tech support at Air Lift I have found out that the kit I need is 60811. Per the measurements I gave them. Ride height of truck inside spring and inside diameter of springs.

The red letters are just because the truck is red so why not! I write on all the forums I am a memeber of in red also so if your on other forums and see the red it's probably me!

Re: Celebrating....30 years!

Congrats, Andy,
I bought my Orange '68 C/10 Stepside in June 1973, so that's nearly 43 years.
It had just turned 80,000 then [in fact I thought it had 79,000 when I looked at it, but it had turned 80 k when the deal closed. PO must've made one last Vegas run before selling] I paid $1200 1973 Dollars -- which was a lot of money for a 23 year old -- for a very well kept 5 year old truck.
I'll never sell. I don't have any vintage pix. But I could look among my parents' snapshots. It'd only take a year or 2.

Cool man! When I bought it I didn't ever think I would own it this long but I never have bought a vehicle with intentions of selling it.

Re: Celebrating....30 years!

30 yrs of tinkering with the same truck and still coming up with cool ideas truley a remarkable feat.

i've seen you come up with some unique stuff what you need now is a c "30" emblem and make a plaque with the date on it to install in the truck somewhere....awesome

What better way to celebrate owning this thing than to drive it! Took the truck on a 4 hr drive each way to Myrtle beach for the biggest car show in the state of SC.

4000 vehicles came out for this show from all over the east coast! if you ever get the chance to go you will go every year.
This show has every kind of vehicle you can think of. + there are vendors to help get what ever it is you are working on finished.

Thanks Jerry,
I had a small problem this past weekend with the truck. I lost my brakes!

The ccp proportioning valve quite working. 1.5 years old and the plunger seal was gone. It was pushing brake fluid out the plunger. I bought a GM at the show and replaced it.
