Re: Busted wing/vent window
It's probably the tent ion spring. Mine was broken and I just bought a new set. Not sure if it can be fixed or not.

Re: Busted wing/vent window
Give this guy a call. He is from Precision. He does vent window restorations. He can probably tell you exactly what is the problem. Vent Windows can be quite a pain in the rear to do anything with. And when it come to vent Windows, let the pros do it. I sent mine off to get repaired & restored and couldn't be happier. They look and function like they are brand new!!
Now if you really wanting to try this on your own, do a YouTube search for repairing vent Windows. There are quite a few that can show you what to do and how to repair. From my pic, you can see there's a spring and then there's a small post off the bottom of the frame. The spring attaches to this post. I would say your frame has rusted apart. Re: Busted wing/vent window
Here's a good place where you can get parts, if you go that route.

But, on the other hand, I was always buying trucks that had been rode hard and put up wet. So, maybe just starting with a new frame and just taking care of it is all that will ever be needed. Hmmmm. Quote:
