Putting a Grant wheel on a OEM truck tilt column

I called Grant and it seems they do not make an install kit for 70-72 truck tilts/

Anyone come up with a work around?

You might try Ididit, I know they have one for their column but don't know if it will work on a factory column

Is the tilt and none tilt column and different where it would meet the adapter? I would think it's not but never having a tilt column I wouldn't know.

I wouldn't have thought there was a difference? GM uses the same wheel for tilt/no tilt columns on the trucks.

Re: Putting a Grant wheel on a OEM truck tilt column

I had a grant wheel on my stock 70 non-tilt column, just installed an aftermarket tilt and put the same grant wheel on it. No problems.

Re: Putting a Grant wheel on a OEM truck tilt column

the difference is in the turn signal switch, cancelling cam/horn contact ring. I used a Grant adapter (part number 3163) but had to "clock" the adapter clockwise in order to get the horn contact to line up correctly with the pass-thru hole on the adapter.
