Evap canister.

What should I do with my stock (87) evap canister?
My LS Swap, has had the evap stuff deleted, can I remove it, and cap the line going to the tank, or put a filter on it?

I use mine to vent the gas tank through. I did sub. the original canister for a later year piece with only two nipples (in/out). The steel line was already in place (factory), and the canister fit well, beneath the aux. battery tray, so, why not use it? I just left the outlet nipple open to atmosphere. So far, no leaks and no gas odor in the garage, and no problems with fuel delivery on a drive

that is what I was planning on doing, just leaving the vacuum hose unhooked and leave the canister in place.

I did the same thing, only I kept the factory cannister, just use the one line from the tank for the tank vent, others just open. Makes a good vent and you dont get any gas smell from it at all.

I need to install the factory 2002 4.8l on my 76 swap for emission reasons, and to get rid of the gas smell in the garage. Anyone have pics?

Well my new intake looks like I'm going to have to put the filter right where my charcoal canister is located. Seeing as how the vaccum line on my canister is disconnected, think I'm going to remove it and place a vent tube for a transmission on the factory steel hard line.
