The Green Machine's (69 C10) First long-distance Trip - Warning Picture Heavy!

First Stop in VA, at the Oatlands Plantation in Leesburg, VA:

Then, on to Gettysburg, PA... We stayed at the Lightner Farm House Bed & Breakfast:

The house (was a hospital during the Civil War):

Touring the Battlefields:

On the way to NY, we stopped at a drive-in Diner, just South of Milton, PA:

In NY, at Watkins Glen State Park:

The Gorge (this stream falls about 700 ft in a series of cascades, rapids, and pools):

At She-Qua-Ga Falls, in Montour Falls, NY:

Hit up a local cruise-in at Eldridge Park in Elmira, NY:

The return trip to VA was a bit faster as we wanted to beat the rain... so just one picture at a rest stop in Emmitsburg, MD:

That truck came out great! You need to pop a picture or two in the longbed picture threads going on (I will if you don't). Those are some nice pictures. I recognize every place you show. Took a trip up US15,didya?

Thanks everyone! It was nice to be able to take it on a trip like that... maybe next year we will drive it to the Rod Run in TN.

Thanks! We averaged around 14mpg... the best we got was just over 15mpg. Got worse climbing the mountains, but it ran good and got up and over with no problems.

Truck looks great and your trip sounds good. You were within a hundred miles of where I live. I like the trip down 15 too.

Get out and drive the truck this summer and have some fun!
It sucks not being able to hear!

LWB trucks rule, if you don't think so measure your SWB!
After talking to tech support at Air Lift I have found out that the kit I need is 60811. Per the measurements I gave them. Ride height of truck inside spring and inside diameter of springs.

Re: The Green Machine's (69 C10) First long-distance Trip - Warning Picture Heavy!

It's odd this thread made a come back. Just last evening I was at at a gathering on the farm where I was rebuilding the spring house roof when our epic earthquake hit. I was telling someone about it and mentioned I knew a gal who lived within 8 miles of the epicenter and how it shifted here house on the foundation and threw the chimney out of whack. Then, I thought how I hadn't seen her post for quite some time and wondered about her. I also pictured this green beauty in front of the falls. Borders on freaky. I hope all is well with her and her husband
