1964 chevy c20
Hi, new to the board here. I have a 1964 Chevy C20 and I'm looking to put on wider wheels and tires to give it that hot rod look and to take away some of the attention of it being a long box? I'm not really concerned about the height of the truck, I just want to know what the widest/wheel and tire combo and still be functional.
Please feel free to post pics of your rim/tire combo! thanks!!!!! |

I would go onto the wheel and tire pics thread and find one you like and ask what size they are.

Re: 1964 chevy c20
Welcome, I had a 65 C20, 35 yrs ago it had 17.5 x 8 on it. Like Forestb said find what you like and ask around and see if anybody has recommendations for making them fit. This truck have trailing arms ? Long bed step side?

Tire and wheel width will depend on whether you have a fleetside or a stepside. While you are shopping for rear tires, I would suggest going with a taller tire to somewhat offset the low gearing.
