underdash wiring mess. What have you done?
I was just wondering what others have done to clean up their wiring under the dash.I was going to add some aftermarket electric gauges and looked at the mess I,ve created from stereo, air bag wiring.I was thinking of some sorta terminal bar or a small donor fuse block.

Re: underdash wiring mess. What have you done?
I replaced the unsealed ATC fuse module on my Polaris ATV with one of the Littlefuse HWB18 Metripack 280 sealed power distribution modules... They meet IP67 water intrusion standards.
They're pretty slick compact little units. You can get em with 18 & 60 positions. You can even mix ATM fuses and Mini ISO 280 relays in these and they're safe in the engine bay. http://www.mouser.com/ds/2/240/litte...eet-756866.pdf http://www.mouser.com/ds/2/240/Litte...B60-245787.pdf

Re: underdash wiring mess. What have you done?
I either wrap wires with good 3m electrical tape or use flex loom.

E-Tape, even good 3M stuff, will become a sticky gooey mess.
Use real glue free Harness tape or Split loom.

Re: underdash wiring mess. What have you done?
I was thinking of some sorta terminal block or a small fuse block as I have no heater core or ducting so I thought over on the Pass. side would be a good place to put something and would be easy to get to.

Re: underdash wiring mess. What have you done?
This is a complete LittleFuse HWB18 18 terminal sealed fuse block that I posted links to above. It goves you 9 ATM fuse positions... 2 terminals per fuse... Or your own mix of ATM fuses and ISO 280 relays.
It's fully sealed and uses standard off-the-shelf ATM fuses and GM Delphi Metripack 280 Female terminals and cable seals.
