redrill axels?

....did anybody ever redrill there 5" on 5" axels to 5" on 4 3/4"?...found a deal on 2 15" x 10" slots but there 5" on 4 3/4" figure that would be a cheap way to change the bolt pattern

yes, I have done that. In fact, I still have a pair of 68 axles that are 5 on 4 3/4.

What would you do up front? Or would a car hub fit on a truck spindle?

well i have my front rims just needed the 15x10's for the back and being how they are going for $200 to $300 on ebay the ones i found are $100....as for the hub a stock 5 on 4 3/4 wheel has a 2 7/8 hole and the truck has a 3" hole but i think most aftermarket wheels are have a bigger hole
