55 hood support brace
Hey Guys, finally finishing up the body work on the cab and moving along to a couple of repairs on the hood. I am considering adding a support brace length-wise to alleviate the oil canning these (55/56) are famous for. I remember someone making a billet brace (Roger?) for one a while back, but prefer to keep it stock looking. Looks like a 58/59 hood brace might attach with minor work, and should contour nicely. Has anyone attempted this and/or have a source for a 58/59 length brace? Appreciate any insight.
Cheers, Jim |

Re: 55 hood support brace
The 55-57 chevys do not have this. The body shop who did my body work and paint job added the brace down the middle for my 57. I just searched ebay for pics and the 58 / 59's have a bolt in center brace.
