CPP Disc brake caliper question..
I've got my disc brake conversion all on the truck but in the box the calipers were in were these washers and I can't figure out where the darn things are supposed to go. There are two for each side and there are two mounting bolts that they fit on, i just cant figure out where they are supposed to sit. If anyone has done this kit before and can tell me or just knows, it would be much appreciated. I want to drive this thing already.

Re: CPP Disc brake caliper question..
Those are copper crush washers for the brake line, where it attaches to the caliper.

Re: CPP Disc brake caliper question..
Are you sure the ones for the brake line were copper crush ones? If so, then maybe they were extra.

Re: CPP Disc brake caliper question..
Ya if they're copper they don't go on the suspension or chassis.

Re: CPP Disc brake caliper question..
What is your plan for brake lines? I have the rubber hoses about 12" long but not really sure how or where to mount them to the new crossmember ('81).

Re: CPP Disc brake caliper question..
I put new pre bent lines on it a while back and just used the rubber lines that came with the kit that go from the hard line to the caliper.

Re: CPP Disc brake caliper question..
Oh okay thanks. You still running the original crossmember? I'd buy prebent lines too but I prob won't have the prop valve in the stock location. Did you need to weld mounting tabs on the crossmember where the hardline/rubber line meet?

Re: CPP Disc brake caliper question..
Yes original crossmember.. mine have those little through hole tabs on the A arm that the hard line and the rubber line join in.

Re: CPP Disc brake caliper question..
Ahh gotcha...think I might just cut those off the old one and weld them up on the new arms.

Re: CPP Disc brake caliper question..
Oh okay.. do you still have the old crossmember to get the tabs off? They are actually on the side of the coil springs housing.

Re: CPP Disc brake caliper question..
Ya I just went out and cut them off, they'll work perfect once I decide where to tack them on. Thanks!
