Axle service in Madison Indiana

I believe somebody on this board referred me to a reputable axle service shop in or near Madison IN several years ago, but I can't find the post and my internet searches are coming up empty. It was just a guy's name and number I had written down, but I can't find it. Help appreciated.

Re: Axle service in Madison Indiana

I'm originally from Madison! Haven't lived there for over a decade, so probably not much help on the axle shop front - but my family always used Bobby Carpenter's shop for everything automotive, and he is really good with older GM vehicles. If nothing else, you may be able to search his number, call him up and ask if he does that type of work. If not, he may be able to recommend you to someone good.

Good luck!

Thanks to all, I will investigate all these leads. I did get a tip from a local that the person I was thinking of was Jack O'Brien at Jack's Automotive in Madison....

Been many years, but used to be a "sunrise" off road in Avon, In. ? May be worth a try, but with speedway near by, you should have no problem finding a reputable shop.
